SKEINO’s – DAGMAR SHAWL has a classical triangular shape and a zigzag border at the end as additional eyecatcher. Three different colored skeins are being used, first for the 6-row pattern for the body pattern. By increasing 4 stitches every other row the shawl grows. The last rows will form smaller triangles to create an exciting zigzag border. Many increases let the rows zigzag up and down and additional short rows let the triangles grow. Everything is done in Garter Stitch until the base pattern creates a finishing line at the end of the border. Before binding off you will have reached a total of 910 stitches. This task is most exciting because it releases the beautiful zigzags for the first time. The yarn is very soft, because the merino fibers are only 19.5 micron thick and the special treatment makes the shawl machine washable. The shawl has a wonderful drape and can be worn in many ways. After finishing the shawl wash it by hand in warm water, high spin it in a washer and put the shawl in a dryer for up to 7 minutes on low heat. Spread the shawl onto a flat surface and stretch the form as you like. Pay additional attention to the zigzags. They need to be perfectly brought into shape to unfold the beauty of your new shawl.
