After finishing our mini-series Yarn Insights last week, today we will go back to some actual knitting. In this tutorial, I will show you how to use the wonderful technique of lace knitting. It’s great to design feather light pieces that will be just perfect for the Summer.

Lace knitting reminds me a little of a fishnet and I do love it very much. In fact, the second part of today’s video tutorial will be about our new Summerwind Shawl. I designed this piece using a skein of merino yarn and another one of kid mohair yarn. Together the two fibers are creating a wonderful structure that is both light and strong.

I hope you enjoyed my little introduction to lace knitting. Please let me know in the comments what you think about the Summerwind Shawl and of course lace knitting in general. Also if you haven’t done so already please consider subscribing to our Youtube Channel.

…And as always: #happyknitting

Love,

Bjorn
